Honda Super-One Gets 'Bulldog Style' Electric Hot Hatch Makeover

Honda Access is embracing 1980s nostalgia with a special accessory package for the Super-One electric hot hatch in Japan. The "Bulldog Style" kit transforms the modern EV to pay tribute to its iconic predecessor, the Honda City Turbo II.

The original City Turbo II earned the nickname "Bulldog," and Honda is celebrating this heritage with distinctive red decals featuring the Bulldog name prominently displayed on the doors, tailgate, and front bumper. These graphics mirror the classic Turbo II design while incorporating "electric power" lettering underneath to highlight the vehicle's zero-emission nature.

The Super-One already features an aggressive body kit with flared fenders and deep bumpers. Honda designers focused on enhancing the details with this new accessory package. The centerpiece is a significantly larger roof spoiler finished in black to match the roof and Honda emblems.

Additional visual upgrades include LED fog lights positioned on the bumper between the side inlets and central cooling intake. These lights can emit either white or yellow illumination and come with black trim, though their placement gives them an almost afterthought appearance.

The kit also includes a new set of 15-inch black aluminum wheels with six double spokes. While more understated than the recently unveiled Mugen catalog, the "Bulldog Style" accessories successfully blend retro inspiration with modern electric vehicle technology.

The Super-One is powered by a single electric motor producing 63 horsepower in standard mode and up to 94 horsepower in Boost Mode. The vehicle features an Active Sound Control system that simulates gear shifts and engine sounds through the speakers. It also boasts a unique chassis setup compared to the N-One kei car, with stiffer dampers and wider tracks.

The accessorized electric vehicle was recently showcased at the Automobile Council 2026 event in Chiba, displayed alongside an original City Turbo II. Pre-orders for both the Super-One and its "Bulldog Style" accessories opened earlier this month in Japan, with the official market launch scheduled for May. Pricing details for the accessory package are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
