Mercedes-Benz is preparing to unveil three updated SUV models next week, marking an important moment for the luxury automaker's popular crossover lineup.

The German manufacturer will debut facelifted versions of the GLE, GLE Coupe, and GLS on March 31st. While official details remain limited, extensive spy photography has provided insight into the upcoming changes.

The exterior updates feature a redesigned front fascia with a larger grille and new bumper design. The vehicles will incorporate Mercedes' signature lighting elements, with what the company calls "starry" headlights and taillights creating a distinctive visual signature. The rear design includes updated taillights and a modified liftgate with a trapezoidal accent around the license plate area.

Inside, the SUVs are expected to adopt a new pillar-to-pillar display system. While specific configurations remain unconfirmed, the screen design appears similar to what's found in the GLC EV. The interior will likely feature a completely new dashboard layout, updated switchgear, and a redesigned center console. A new steering wheel and enhanced technology features, including an AI-powered virtual assistant, are also anticipated.

Under the hood, the models will receive updated powertrains focused on improved performance and efficiency. The GLS 580 variant could receive the new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that recently debuted in the facelifted S-Class, producing 530 horsepower and 533 lb-ft of torque. The 450 variants may feature an enhanced turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with increased torque output.

These updates represent Mercedes' continued commitment to evolving its SUV lineup while maintaining the luxury and performance standards the brand is known for.
